Advanced Outlook Repair is a powerful Microsoft Outlook recovery tool from Data Numen. AOR 2.5 uses advanced technologies to scan the corrupt Outlook personal folders (.pst) files and to recover email messages, folders, posts, appointments, meeting requests, contacts, distribution lists, tasks, task requests, journals, notes, etc. Along with recovery, AOR 2.5 also converts old format (.pst) to new format (.pst) and vice versa. AOR 2.5 has two versions (Full Version, Demo Version).

According to client’s requirement Quality Assurance cycle was deployed on Conversion features of AOR 2.5. In these cycles, PST files of different sizes were converted in other versions. Operating system for testing was Microsoft Window Vista. Testing activities were performed on the PST files of following sizes:

• 50 MB
• 500 MB
• 1500 MB
• 2000 MB
• 3000 MB
• 4000 MB
• 6000 MB

All the PST files contained email messages, folders, posts, appointments, meeting requests, contacts, distribution lists, tasks, task requests, journals, notes.

For this project, the most important and difficult task was to create test data for performing test activities. Normal web email addresses do not provide attachment more than 10MB, only Yahoo provides 25MB email attachments but for attaching huge files on Yahoo and downloading them on local machines would take longer time. For this purpose, we deployed a Microsoft Exchange Server on our local Network. Deployment of Microsoft Exchange Server provided a boost to test data creation process. After completion the test data all the PST files of different sizes were converted using AOR 2.5 (Full and Demo) Versions. Functional Testing Cycles were performed on all the converted PST files and Data of All PST files was verified and validated to Assure and Control the Quality. Several Bugs emerged during the testing process and all the bugs were re-verified and after conformation all the bugs were reported to clients.
